A Post Medieval pale blue - green glass bottle or Apothecary's phial, dating 17th - 18th Century. Blown glass bottle with cylindrical unevenly shaped body, rounded shoulders, short neck, slightly everted rim, pronounced kick in the base. Glass has taken on some white patination which flakes off.

A Post Medieval copper-alloy jetton of William and Mary (AD1689-1694), minted in Nuremberg by Lazarus Gottlieb Lauffer (AD1663-1709). The obverse depicts the bust of King William facing right with legend WILH.III.D.G.ANG.SCO.FR.ET.HI.REX.
The reverse depicts the bust of Queen Mary facing right with legend MARIA.D.G.ANG.SO.FR.E.HI.REGINA. At 7 o'clock, below Mary's bust it reads LGL . R (in smaller letters), likely referring to the initials of the issuer, Lazarus Gottlieb Lauffer. Similar to Mitchiner 1988, no. 1802 & 1803.

A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy anonymous issue Nuremberg jetton, 'ship-orb' type, dating from AD 1525 -1550. (Mitchiner 1988: 376, refs: 1187-1189).
Obverse: Fictitious inscription; Profile of a sailing ship bearing a central mast with yard-arm, four stays and single sail. Above the yard-arm the mast head is topped by a letter "G". On the right is a stern - castle, with rudder below and flag staff above. On the left the bow - castle is surmounted by a crossed - staff with pennants.

Reverse: IN BOW STREETE 1653 = H.B.S. (triad of initials, in Roman capitals, in field)
Williamson (1889) notes "Maltsters used the crossed shovels as a sign. The issuer was possibly a meal man, or what is now termed a corn-chandler".

A post medieval complete, opened, lead alloy two-disc Colchester cloth seal from the English community dating AD1618. One of the discs has been stamped with the arms of Colchester: a cross (cross raguly) with a larger coronet at the bottom and two smaller coronets above the arms of the cross within an ornate shield; there is "16" to the left of the shield, and "18" to the right of the shield. On the other disc there is the inscription "[E]NG/[LISH][*COL]*/CH[ESTE]R/SAYE/1618".

Medieval tuning peg made from animal skeletal material, probably bone, probably dating 13th - 15th century. The tuning peg has a circular sectioned shank with a perforation at one end, through which the string would have passed. At the opposite end the cross-section changes to square approximately 8.5mm from the end.
Similar tuning pegs are published in MacGregor (1985:147) and MacGregor, Mainman & Rogers (1999:1978) they note that a key would have fitted over the square end to tune instruments such as harps, lyres or fiddles. The published examples date from the late 12th century …
