1st-2nd Century. Copper alloy, cast, broken head section of a fibula bow brooch. Truncated length 12.0mm, Truncated width 15.8mm, Thickness 7.1mm, Weight 2.1g. Very worn, corroded, small broken fragment of a Colchester derivative fibula. Most of one wing only and probable remnant of the chord left in situ. Probable plain bow with a central longditundinal ridge that once went down the bow. Rounded/eroded surfaces as a result of corrosion with pale green colour. Ref.
