A cast copper-alloy ring probably of later prehistoric to early medieval date. The ring has worn bevelled edges and a broadly lozengiform cross section. There is some wear and corrosion of the metal, which could suggest a later prehistoric date (Bronze Age to Late Iron Age / Roman, c. 1200 BC to AD 409), but it could also date to the early medieval period (AD 409-1066) as these objects are very hard to date without contextual information.

The ring has a sub-square cross section with a pronounced moulded rib around the outer central circumference.
