A square double-sided copper-alloy coin weight of post-medieval date. The weight is for a unite (20 shillings/laurel) of Charles I (1625-1632; Withers and Withers 1995, 12-13; ref. XXs e). The top left corner of the upper surface is counter stamped with a crowned 'C'. The stamp is typical of square coin weights of Charles I (Withers and Withers 1995, 67). Biggs (1992, 30) notes that square coin weights were succeeded by round ones in 1632. The upper surface of the weight has slightly smaller dimensions than the lower. A rim fragment of a medieval to post-medieval cast copper-alloy vessel, now of irregular quadrilateral form. The fragment appears to be the rim of a serving vessel, now with shallow curvature. The rim is thickened externally, with an external groove at the base of the thickened area. Below there is an external ridge or cord; this is echoed by a double incised line internally. The breaks are old but fairly straight, perhaps suggesting a relatively brittle alloy used. The object has a grey-green patina. A twisted fragment consisting of approximately a quarter of a cast copper-alloy bracelet or armlet of late Roman date (c. 4th century AD). The fragment consists of the bracelet's terminal, the hook end, with abraded hook extant. The bracelet is rectangular with rounded corners in cross-section. In profile it has been twisted to one side, then round on itself such that it abuts the side of the hooked end at right angles to it. The bracelet expands in width gradually from the hook end. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy T-shaped brooch, probably of devolved type, incomplete in so far as it is missing the pin, leg and concomitant catch-plate. The brooch consists of cylindrical wings and flat integral headloop, with bow below. The wings are seemingly plain. The remains of the circular iron axis bar is visible at the tips, as well as in the form of corrosion product in the slot. No traces of the pin are obvious within the slot.
