An incomplete post-medieval silver penny of Charles I (AD 1625-1649), probably Group D, unclear initial mark, minted at London, c. AD 1632-1640. Only half of the original coin survives apparently following a vertical bend along the centre of the reverse. The coin has also been pierced, possibly for re-use as an item of jewellery, through the obverse at 4 o'clock, corresponding to around 9 o'clock on the reverse.
