Description: A small early 17th-century post-medieval silver vervel (hawking ring). It is circular in plan and rectangular in cross-section. Engraved on the exterior in two lines is the inscription in capital letters: * RETORNE TOO // * HVGH * PORTMAN.
Dimensions: It is 9.3mm in diameter (7.4mm internally), 4.2mm high, 0.9mm thick, and weighs 0.82g.
