Description: Rectangular bar-shaped ingot with concave ends. The upper and lower surfaces and the sides are hammered smooth, with ancient abrasions. Metal analysis: Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum by the Department of Conservation and Scientific Research indicated an approximate silver content for the ingot of 81%, the remainder being copper, iron, zinc, lead, gold and tin.
