Post-medieval silver sixpence of William III (AD 1694-1702), first bust, early harp, large crowns, dated 1696 on coin, minted at Chester, AD 1696, Spink 3522.
One edge of the coin has been bent up and the other down to create an S-shaped profile. Coins modified in this way are often referred to as 'love tokens'. The coin is very worn and may have been deliberately smoothed.
