A cuboid terminal with integral rod of circular cross-section emerging from the centre of one face. The cuboid 'head' has rounded corners. The rod has been truncated at bent to one side at its current tip. The piece is corroded and the colour of the corrosion product suggests a post-medieval date, although an earlier one ought not to be ruled out. It is uncertain what the function was of this object. It measures 30.8mm long (16.8mm excluding the rod) by 17.2mm wide by 17.9mm thick; it weighs 34.13g.

A copper-alloy unidentified object of uncertain date. It is formed of a flat rectangular arm with rectangular cross-section, broken transversely following old damage and also bent upwards at the break. At the other end the arm curves through ninety degrees to end in a terminal expanded at its base. There are three knops at the outer edge as the piece turns. Those closest to the broken end seem to be the truncated ends of a rounded attachment loop integral to the arm. The object is decorated on both faces with an incised median line from which diagonal lines emerge, offset compared to …

Medieval cast copper-alloy vessel leg, c.1300-1500 AD, probably from a ewer (water jug). The leg has an elongated D-shaped cross-section with a rounded front and flat back. It has an old irregular break at the upper end. The oval foot projects forward and has a rounded end. It is 35.2mm tall, 23.3mm wide, 12.8mm thick; it weighs 38.06 grams. The foot would have been one of three on a complete vessel, which would have been used to hold water for hand-washing (Lewis 1987).

A corroded and abraded post-medieval cast copper-alloy vessel foot and part of the leg. The leg is D shaped in cross-section with a flat back and convex front; it has broken following an old break at a diagonal angle. It is decorated with five longitudinal ribs. There is a prominent transverse collar at the junction of leg and foot. The collar has moulded diagonal ribs giving a ropework/cable pattern. The flaring foot is also D-shaped in cross-section, also with raised ribs running down the front, but highly worn and abraded. Crudely made cast copper-alloy vessels were widely use…

A cast copper-alloy fragment: possibly a dish support from a late medieval/early post-medieval chafing dish. The object tapers to a point at one end. It has a trapezoidal cross-section and appears to have been broken away from another element at the shorter of the long edges of the attachment end. The artefact has corroded to a red/brown colour with patches of light-green corrosion product. It appears to be plain.

A copper-alloy fragment: probably the terminal of a handle from a medieval cooking vessel, probably a posnet. The handle has a low D-shaped cross-section, being flat on its upper surface and shallowly convex below. It terminates in an angled projection at about 135 degrees to the handle's underside, a projection that seems to be characteristic of posnets. Before this projection is a cross patty recessed into the upper surface of the handle. The object now has a mid-green colour with some surface loss; the break is old and patinated.

A post-medieval cast copper-alloy vessel leg. The leg is triangular with rounded corners in cross-section with a flat back and convex front. It is decorated with a prominent central longitudinal rib, flanked by a single low rib to each side. The terminal is merely squared off rather than ending in a foot; this is somewhat rounded through wear. The attachment end bears the curved interior of the vessel with very little surviving beyond the cross-section of the leg. The leg stands at an angle of sixty or more degrees to a flat surface.

A lower fragment from a cast copper-alloy medieval to post-medieval chafing dish drop handle. In plan, the handle frame would have been sub-trapezoidal with rounded corners, the frame is rectangular in cross-section. What survives is the lower part, other than one corner which is missing, with a pronouncedly incurved centre. The frame has a dark-green/grey colour; the breaks are old and patinated. A parallel can be found in illustrated in Allen (1984; fig. 192; ref. 165); it also conforms to Lewis's Type B1 (Lewis 1973, 61-64) given a 15th-/16th-century date.
