A fragmentary cast copper alloy T-shaped brooch of early Roman date. Present is part of the head and upper bow; the rest of the head, pin, lower bow, including leg and catch-plate, are missing. The head was formed of cylindrical wings with a slot that is slightly off centre; one of the wings has been lost beyond the head. Retained in the extant wing is the remnant of the copper-alloy axis bar for the former hinged pin, viewable within the slot. A cast copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount of late early-medieval to medieval date (c. late 11th century AD). This tapering pear-shaped mount can be classified as a Williams Class A, Type 10A mount, based on its decoration in the English Urnes style. A probable button formed from a pair of fused medieval late Tournai copper-alloy jettons of Crown type, AE MARIA GRACIA PL legend, c. AD 1415-1497, cf. Mitchiner 663ff. AEQVIT[AS AVG] reverse type depicting Aequitas standing left holding scales in her right hand and a cornucopiae in left. Possibly Mint of London, -//(ML). Sam Moorhead has another example of this type with a London mintmark in his corpus for the new RIC for Carausius and Allectus. For an unmarked example cf. RIC V.ii, p. 526; no. 736. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.

A complete Roman copper alloy finger ring with black glass intaglio. The bezel is widened and flattened; the shoulders are also relatively wide before tapering to a thin hoop around half way down the sides (min. W.: 2.8mm). There are some abrasions to the edges of the hoop and a recess formed through corrosion on the underside of the bezel. The bezel is very slightly raised in around the setting. The intaglio is bevelled externally leaving a flat oval central zone with design set in. The design (on the intaglio) is of a human figure, probably female, seated left and turned to the view…
