Copper alloy clapper bell. Badly damaged, distorted, with the body torn and with a section missing. Dome shaped with two small (3mm diameter) circular sound holes towards the top. The 'handle' is not a loop, but two triangular in-turned loops - these are not part of a worn loop. Two areas of iron corrosion at the top inside the bell - some iron can be seen on the outside of th bell, corresponding to one of these. Probably Medieval. Possibly Roman or early medieval. Length (height) 41.88mm, width (damaged) 32.90mm, thickness (damaged) 28.76mm, weight 27.74g.
