A damaged copper alloy Medieval French jetton dating from c. AD 1385-1461. The obverse depicts a large jewelled open crown with three jewels on the crown. The obverse legend reads: AVE MARIA [GRACIA PL]. The reverse depicts a double-stranded open cross terminating with a fleur de lis on each terminal. The open central diamond shape also contains a fleur-de-lis. Each quarter formed by the open cross contains a single four petalled flower. A Post-Medieval lead Post Office bag seal dating to the reigns of William III (1689-1702) and Anne (1702-1714). It is circular in form with the remains of a transverse perforation that would have enabled attachment to a chord. Both faces carry stamped motifs. A copper-alloy strap end, dating to the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries AD (AD 1250 to 1450) The front plate is sub-rectangular, with tapering sides, that continue to a blunted terminal, with a rounded knop. The upper edge is endented (scalloped). The back plate is similar with two circular rivet holes and rivets are present, one located at the top cenre and one at the bottom centre.
