A copper alloy oval suspension loop from a purse bar. It is in a fair but corroded condition and the lug for the swivel is missing, however, a small but corroded stub remains. Date c. 1400-c. 1600. Weight 5.98g, Length 32.10mm, Width 19.55mm, Thickness 4.60mm. Similar artefact - see PUBLIC-E3FB37.

A Post Medieval rectangular double looped cast copper alloy buckle with drilled frame for a seperate iron spindle. The spindle is now missing along with the pin/chape. The frame is plain with a distinct arch in profile suggesting it is from a shoe, knee or hat. The centre of the long sides are expanded downards into an oval at the centre and drilled through the expansion for the spindle. It measures 35.35mm long by 28.47mm wide and 2.33mm thick. It weighs 6.09 grams. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, (2003) p104 which he dates from AD 1720 to 1790s.

Post medieval copper-alloy Cambridgeshire County halfpenny "condor" token dating from 1795. Obverse: shows a beehive and swarming bees, surrounded by the inscription: INDUSTRY HAS IT'S SURE REWARD. Reverse: a hooded druid's head facing right, surrounded by the inscription: CURRENT IN THE COUNTIES OF 1795. Any trace of writing around the milled edge is illegible, but it is sugested it once read: CAMBRIDGE BEDFORD . AND HUNTINGTON. Diameter 20.97mm, thickness 1.13mm amd weight 3.69g.

A small, slightly damaged copper-alloy thimble. Other than a narrow foot-ring, the side of the thimble is covered with (probably machine-stamped) indentations, and the domed top has a lattice of indentations .The small size suggests it is perhaps made for a child. A worn, damaged and incomplete Roman (AD 100-250) copper-alloy enamelled umbonate plate brooch, missing some of the enamelling and part of the catchplate and pin . It measures 34.33mm x.21.39mm and weighs 4.30g. The brooch has a central dome (concave to the reverse), decorated with a champeleve enamel sunburst- effect design in two concentric rings. Much of the red and blue enamel is missing. The outer edge is flanked by a deep groove, which is damaged and crushed at the 9 o'clock position. A copper alloy cast double loop "spectacle buckle", late medieval to early post medieval in date (c AD1400-1600). The buckle loops are oval in plan, joined by a central integral strap bar. The pin is missing. The buckle is plain and undecorated with some pitting caused by corrosion. It has a patchy light green patina. Measurements: Length 17.93mm, width 12.68mm, thickness 1.48mm and it weighs 0.94g. Probably a shoe buckle - see 'Buckles 1250-1800', R Whitehead (2003) page 57, fig.334. And see similar type at LVPL-1C7682.

D section bow with small rectangular wings and a forward pointing hook above and a backward pointing hook below. The bow tapers to the stub of a possibly pierced catch plate, and is slightly bent at its end. Suggested date: Late Iron Age to Early Roman, 25-60AD. Post Medieval (1660-1720) cast copper alloy two piece buckle. The frame is rectangular with drilled holes for a separate spindle. The cast stud chape plate and pin is attached but it is missing it's iron tongue and traces of iron stain are evident. The curved frame is 20.48mm long and 15.90mm wide and weighs 4.55 grams.

A complete and corroded post-Medieval copper-alloy belt or harness mount in the form of an acorn (circa 1600 - 1700). The mount is convex at the front and concave at the rear. At the front it has two horizontal grooves dividing the fruit from the cupola. There is a small knop at the top and a forked stalk at the bottom.
