A fragment of a copper-alloy Roman nail -cleaner dating to the first or second centuries AD. The fragment comprises a small portion of the leaf shaped blade terminating in two points. There is decorative groove running parallel with the edges of the blade, on both its upper and lower surface. cf. Crummy (1983) p. 58, no. 1872.

A cast copper-alloy buckle pin, probably from a circular buckle. Measuring - 40mm in length, 10mm at its widest point tapering to 2mm. On the upper side of the hinged end there is a moulding with three transverse ribs. It weighs 4.7g.

A copper-alloy fob seal of the Georgian to early Victorian period. Complete with its circular red glass intaglio that depicts a retriever, standing in undergrowth, looking backwards and upwards at a flying game bird. The handle is of openwork design with inwardly turned scrolls at the base and a knopped suspension loop at the top. The intaglio is cracked across the centre and has two damage marks on the surface.Fob seals were usually used suspended from a chain on a waistcoat, from the late 18th to late 19th centuries.

A copper alloy decorative finger ring, possibly 18-19C. The complete ring with some corrosion is D-shaped in section with eight oblong panels of alternating floriate and foliar decoration on the outer edge. The inner edge is plain - but there are two small indistinguishable markings which just be can be seen, along with the brazed join marking.

A small silver one-piece thimble of modern date. It has a thickened rim below an undecorated area; above this are even horizontal rows of hexagonal indentations set in honeycomb form. It is hallmarked on the undecorated area, with three marks: a lion passant; the Chester assay mark (a shield bearing three wheat sheaves and a sword); and a date letter, a capital L, which dates it to 1894.On the rim is a small stamped number 5. It measures 18mm in height, and is 9mm diameter at the top and 14mm diameter at the bottom.

A cast copper alloy threaded handle from a pipe tamper set. Comprised of ring, tamper and bowl cleaner/reamer. The ring section measures 29mm wide and is 35mm long. On the top of the ring is a plain/unmarked bezel measuring 15mm in diameter. The lower section of the reamer and the screw on tamper are missing. Gordon Bailey (see Reference below) describes this type thus: "A novelty multi-tool produced in the second half of the 18th century was the combined ring, tamper and bowl cleaner. A modern gilded brass 18mm tunic/uniform button of the 97th Regiment of Foot (The Earl of Ulster's Regiment), which is die-formed in three-pieces. It has a separate fitted wire shank; circular; hollow; convex front; flat back; machine-crimped joint; simple looped shank. The domed front is plain, and shows a raised number "97" surmounted with a Victoria crown, all within a raised scrolled line. The rear of the button is back marked, "SMITH & WRIGHT BIRMINGHAM". It is complete but has a dent in the domed front.

A post-medieval open work mount. Made of cast copper-alloy with a fleur de lis shaped design radiating from a centrally shape ribbed boss which measures 9mm in diameter. The back is plain and has two integral pointed lugs, both bent inwards. At the centre of the mount, there is a radially ribbed boss with a trefoil moulding on either side.

A medieval copper alloy "sexfoil" shaped belt mount/decoration, with a central circular hole measuring 3mm in diameter. The front has a clover leaf shaped pattern dividing the mount into six leaves. The hole is slightly raised. On the back are two copper alloy rivets for securing the mount to the fabric or leather accoutrement.
