A folded short cross cut half penny most probably of Henry II (or possibly Richard I) . Images of the coin have been shown to the numismatist Carl Savage who comments; The bent Short Cross cut halfpenny is most likely Northampton rather than Norwich as NOR or possible NON (as the remaining rev legend may read) are Northampton mint signatures. The only moneyer the ends in R from this mint is Walter who was active during the reign of Henry II and Richard I. Heavily worn cut half penny of a Plantagenant King - most likely King John. The coin is heaviuly worn and almost all detail is lost - almost all diagnostic features are also worn - and the only element is a R with a flat top and pointed foot - which is often seen in Class 5b1 - no other elements survive and so such a classification could be considerably flawed.
