An early medieval silver cut farthing (quarter penny ) of Cnut (1016-35), Short Cross type (North 790) dating to c. AD1029-35/6, mint and moneyer unknown (both removed when the coin was fractioned). Ref: North 1994: 168.
The coin is worn and there is a split in the flan around part of the outer edge of the coin.

A gold quarter noble of Edward III (1327-1377) dated to the pre-treaty period AD 1351-61. A more precise identification cannot be achieved due to the wear and condition of the coin. The external edge of the flan is feathered and the edge is folded. A pentangular shaped hole is present through the centre of the coin. The edges are slightly clipped.
The record and coin have been discussed with Dr John Naylor (National Finds Advsior medieval coinage) who notes that:
