A heavily eroded post medieval forged silver sixpence of probable 17th century date. The coin has a mid green coloured abraded core over which a silver / tin wash has applied and the surface has decayed. Almost all detail is lost - making identification very difficult. From what can be seen a later 17th century date is preferred - possibly being a copy of a William III sixpence 22.2mm diameter, 1.4mm thick. Weight: 2.99 grams

A heavily worn polished and clipped milled silver coin - most probably a sixpence of William III (1694-1702). The edges of the coin have been folded in three places and due to this folding and the polished nature of the coin it is suggested that this may represent a love token.

A heavily worn William III sixpence - both the front and rear faces of the coin have been reavily filed / scratched and the surface of the reverse is rough because of this. It does not seem as if the coin has been reused but such wear is highly unusual.
