A cast copper alloy axe or knife blank / ingot of Chalcolithic / Early Bronze Age date (2450 - 2300 BC). The blank is oval in shape with the butt being rounded narrowed and tapered. In profile it is lentoid in shape and its cross section is a similar lentoid shape. The 'cutting' edge is rounded, from the external edges it tapers gradually until it forms a narrowed but rounded but. There is no sign of a stop ridge or any form of cast design. A cast copper alloy fragment from a larger unidentified object of probable later Early Medieval date (AD 800-1200). The fragment is an irregular triangular shape in plan and slightly curved in profile - originally it would have been rectangular and the extant fragment represents a single corner. The fragment is pierced on one of its broken edges by a circular hole - which possibly may have held a rivet. A late medieval or early post-medieval (1400-1600) chape from a dagger scabbard. The chape is made from folded copper-alloy sheet that has been crimped and hammered at the edges to create the form. It is an irregular sub-triangular shape in plan, with tapering edges and an irregular oval shape in cross section distorted by movement in the ploughsoil. Incomplete cast copper alloy double looped buckle of probable post-medieval date (1550-1650). The buckle frame is complete and is broadly sub-rectangular in plan with a slight integrally cast central bar to which the corroded remnants of an iron pin are attached. The pin is attached to the central bar by the terminal being folded back upon itself. There are two slight swellings on the internal edge of the frame which could be interpreted as pin rests.
