A cast copper-alloy book clasp (hook piece) of late Medieval date, probably 15th-16th century. The clasp is rectangular in plan, with stamped decoration and would probably attach to a leather strap. It would have extended further, and possible flared, but this part is missing. The hook is semi-cylindrical and 4mm in width. The top of the clasps is decorated with two rings longitudanaly and two triangular shapes above a band of decoration running the width. A Roman T-shaped brooch. The brooch consists of the cylindrical wings, an arched bow, and part of the catch plate. The wings have a notch in the centre to accommodate the hinge pin which is missing.
