A cast copper-alloy annular brooch dating from the Medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1450. The brooch is complete with its pin. The frame is sub-circular in cross-section and undecorated, with a recess for the plain and untapered pin. The brooch is 15.10mm diameter, 3.01mm thick and weighs 2.46g. Attached to the brooch is a length of brown textile approximately 2mm wide and 17.5mm long, which itself is woven into a thin strand of now-pink textile. This arrangement thereby shows that the annular brooch was originally sewn into a garment.
