A complete copper-alloy thimble of medieval date, c.AD 1100 - 1500. The thimble has a circular base (slightly distorted) from which the sides taper inwards, curving towards the top where they form the crown, creating a dome. A series of irregular spiralling pits extend from the crown towards the base. The metal has a delaminated light green patina and is worn. The thimble is 17.5mm in height, 20.8mm in diameter, 0.9mm thick and weighs 5.1g. A complete copper-alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1720 - 1790. The buckle is ovate with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. Internal curved transverse bars are present to either side of the spindle which itself has a double spiked tongue. Iron corrosion is present where the spindle meats the frame. The outer frame bears ribbed decoration. The metal has a dark green patina and is in fair condition. The buckle is 17.1mm long, 16.4mm wide, 2.6mm thick and weighs 1.3g. A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.114, no.738 and is dated to c.AD 1720 - 1790.
