A complete iron stud of uncertain date, possibly medieval c.AD 1000 - 1500. The head of the stud is sub-square with rounded corners and a D-shaped section. A square sectioned shank projects centrally from the base of the head, tapering to a curved blunted end. The curve of the terminal results in a roughly J-shaped object. The metal has a mid-brown/orange patina and is heavily corroded. The head of the stud is 56.4mm x 51.7mm and 18.1mm thick. The shank is 17.8mm x 16.2mm tapering to 8.5mm x 5.4mm. A complete copper-alloy finger ring of probable Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1600 - 1800. The hoop of the finger ring comprises a sub-rectangular strip of metal rolled to form a loop, and a square bezel. Both surfaces are decorated with raised zig-zag lines with raised pellets in each angle. The metal has a mid-grey/white patina and is worn. The spindle whorl is 28.9mm in diameter, 13.7mm thick and weighs 44.8g. The perforation is 9.9mm in diameter. The toggle is of the dumbell type comprising two globular hemispherical terminals joined by a waisted central circular shaft. Integral raised collars are present where the shaft and terminals meet. The obverse is very worn but has an italicised number 5 towards the lower right side. The rest is obscured. The reverse bears the letters and numbers DwG//1.7 (for 1 pennyweight and 7 grams). The metal has a dark brown patina and is worn. The coin weight is 13.7mm in diameter, 1.9mm thick and weighs 1.8g. Coin weights of similar forms are shown in Biggs (1992), p.37 though no directly comparable example is depicted.
