A Post Medieval (16th century) knife cap terminal: The terminal is copper alloy moulded into a decorative form. Both terminals are oval shaped in cross-section and show the remains of a blade which has been broken. In plan the cap is a 'T' shape on its' side. The horizontal section of the cap is wider than the vertical section which is slightly tapered. The horizontal section is decorated with two vertical lines. A medieval (1300-1800) curtain ring. A sub-oval copper alloy curtain ring or loop, which is well worn on one internal edge. The ring has slightly rounded edges and is sub-oval in plan. In profile the loop is flat. It measures 22.76mm long, 22.53mm wide and is 2.35mm thick. It weighs 1.6g. Similar rings are illustrated in Margeson (1993) who describes them as being suspension rings which were probably multi-functional, including curtain rings. Medieval (1225-1375) scabbard chape. The chape is made from a sheet of copper alloy which was originally trapezoidal and it has then been folded creating a central vertical seam on the reverse. The lower edge forms a closed blunt point whereas the upper edge forms an oval aperture. The upper surface of the plate and reverse are undecorated. The surface of the plate has a green patina. The plate measures 21.64mm long, 9.15mm wide and 2.82mm in thickness. It weighs 1.6g.
