An incomplete Post-Medieval copper-alloy strap mount with suspension loop and separate pendent hooked fitting. The strap fitting is probably from a sword belt and dates to the 16th century. The strap mount is a flat piece of copper alloy that is broadly rectangular in plan with curved upper and lower edges. The outer edge of the mount is double cusped, the plate is then waisted after which it broadens and then tapers again to a broken edge. A Medieval or Post Medieval (12th to mid-19th centuries) fragment of a cooking vessel leg. In plan the fragment is a sub-rectangular and consists of the upper part of the leg that would have attached to the vessel. There is an irregular shaped raised moulding on the upper face that would have formed part of the attachment on to the vessel. A complete cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Roman to Post Medieval date (AD 43 - 1650). In plan the spindle whorl is sub-circular. The upper surface comprises of ten ribs that emanate from the central perforation. In between each rib is a deep groove. This gives the appearance of a series of triangles when you view the spindle whorl in profile. The central perforation measures 6.mm in diameter. A cast lead alloy token of later Medieval or Post-Medieval date (1200-1800). The token is sub-circular in plan. The decoration on the front face depicts a long cross. This consists of two crossed lines consisting of ribs which emanate from the centre and finish at the edge of the token. In each quarter there is a triangle also made from a raised rib outline. A Medieval copper-alloy strap end dating to circa (AD 1250-1450). The strap end is comprised of two plates which are sub-rectangular in plan, tapering towards a curved terminal with a small knoped protrusion. One of the plates has an intact trefoil upper edge, the opposing plates upper edge is damaged. The remains of a forked spacer are present within the plates. A Post Medieval copper alloy French jetton dating to (AD 1497-1521). Probable Shield of France modern bearing three lis. Reverse type: simple cross patty with 'V' in each angle. Obverse and reverse with fictitious legend. Due to corrosion on the jetton this identification is believed to be most fitting. These jettons were struck under the period of Louis XII (AD 1497 - 1515) and the early years of Francis (AD 1515-1547). Reference: Mitchiner (1988) 717

A Post Medieval silver threepence of Charles II (AD1660-1685) dated AD 1679. Obverse: Laureate bust facing right, draped. The coin has been punched from the reverse to the obverse. The pierced hole is at 4 o'clock on the obverse, adjacent to the chin and on the obverse appears at 2 o'clock (to the lower right of the crown). An incomplete Medieval copper-alloy buckle with an integral plate circa (AD 1250-1350). The buckle is complete with the cast pin intact. This buckle frame is a single oval loop with two lobed knops on the opposing corners of the outer edge of the oval loop. Extending from the oval loop the buckle has three stepped transverse ridges with a rivet hole behind the strap bar. The remains of a copper alloy artefact, possibly part of a Roman Brooch. One end of the fragment is circular in cross section, this then tapers to a moulded collar and a rounded knop which is sub oval in plan. There is a horizontal line along the main body of the object which could possibly be where a catch plate was once attached. It has light green to brown uneven patina. The artefact measures 28.2mm in length, the maximum width is 7.9mm and the minimum is 4.5mm. It weighs 6.5 grams.
