A Post-Medieval heavily corroded 17th century provincial token / trade token. The token is probably that of John Counley of Tenbury, Worcestershire possibly circa AD 1666-1682. Obverse: Indistinct symbol - possibly Grocers Arms IOHN CO[VNLEY] Reverse: Letters - possibly initials IC in field OF [T]ENB[VRY] The token has a dark brown colour and an evenly formed patina.
