An incomplete, wrought iron, Roman, probable, anvil, AD.43-450. The object comprises a cuboid block of iron, the top surface appears slightly domed from repeated striking. The sides appear to be fairly parallel, though there is a slight taper from the top to the bottom.. The object has a fairly even dark black patina with patches of orange oxidation. The sides of the anvil are pitted, probably from corrosion after deposition.

Medieval cast copper alloy bell. The bell has a flat stem with rounded edges which narrow from the rounded top end to the base where it ends in four integrally cast triangular leaves. There is a circular hole drilled though the rounded top end. The leaves have been bent inwards to overlap in the centre and form a spherical bell, the convex base of which is now covered in corrosion or mud.
Read (2001, no.465) illustrates a very similar bell which he identifies as coming from decorative horse harness and dating to the 14th century. BUC-B5A456 records two similar bells still attached …

A medieval copper-alloy brooch formed from a modified English jetton. King's bust type, early Edwardian (Class 3, 4 or 7) punches, dating to c. 1280-1294. Probably minted at London. See Mitchiner (1988, 96-97).
It has been converted into a jewellery item by the application of an S-shaped clip, now broken at one end, to the obverse by a central rivet. The reverse would therefore have been displayed. The jetton measures 22.02 mm in diameter, and weighs 0.81 g

A complete cast copper-alloy early-medieval stirrup-strap mount of Williams Class B, Type 2, Group 3 dating to the 11th century. The mount is a pentagon in shape with roughly straight base, vertical sides and a rounded, wavy top. It has an openwork design that consists of three pairs of perforations, i.e. six perforations in total. The pairs are arranged one above the other flanking the central line with angled solid lines between them.

A copper-alloy late Iron Age-Roman bow brooch of nauheim derivative type with a flat bow. It is incomplete as the spring is incomplete, pin missing and catchplate incomplete and worn. The bow head narrows with curved sides into the circular section spring, three coils of the spring survive. The bow is flat and although worn has traces of a longitudinal line down the centre, it tapers towards the foot from 4mm to 0.97mm in width. It measures 35.76mm in total length.
