An incomplete copper alloy Colchester-derivative (Polden Hill) brooch of Roman dating (AD 80 - AD 120). Around 75% of the brooch is present, with the foot, catch plate, axis bar, spring and pin are missing. The wings are broadly semi- cylindrical in profile with with a pierced flat wing cap. A vertical ridge is present as decoration at the ends of each of the wings. The bow head is hump-like, and slightly angular (comma shaped) in profile. An incomplete silver ingot of possible Early Medieval dating (AD 850 to AD 1000). The silver ingot is sub rectangular with a square cross section. The corners are slightly bevelled and there are some hammer marks along the edge. The ends are incomplete. It measures 28.3 mm in length, 8.8 mm wide and 6.2 mm thick. It weighs 8.9 g. The ingot is a dark grey colour, with an even surface patina.
