The bow, wings, head, spring and pin are missing, presumed lost in antiquity. The brooch fragment is sub triangular in plan, with an incomplete edge along one side. The opposite side has a rounded edge. A rounded foot knop is present. It measures 30.3 mm in length, 4.5 mm wide and 9.2 mm thick. It weighs 2.2 g. An incomplete copper alloy terminal from a rowel spur arm, of Post Medieval dating (16th to 17th Centuries AD). The fragment consists of a heart shaped terminal, with two circular perforations (holes). Both holes contain the remnants of an iron rivet. Beneath the heart shaped terminal is a moulded rectangular collar, with a horizontal V shaped groove across it as decoration. On either side beneath the collar, is a C shaped downward curving knop.
