Silver offcuts. Three fragments cut from beaten silver objects. They include the bowl of a teaspoon, of thickness 0.5mm; a ring cut from a vessel or a tubular or conical object, of thickness 0.3mm; and a semicircular fragment with upstanding rims, of thickness 0.1mm. These pieces derive from the dismantling of silver objects. The deposition of such fragmentary silver objects is commonly reported, and appears to have taken place without regard to the intrinsic value of the material.
