A very worn copper-alloy Roman nummus of the House of Constantine, probably a contemporary copy, dating to the period AD 330-340 (Reece period 17). VRBS ROMA reverse type depicting a She-wolf suckling twins, two stars above. Uncertain mint. The coin appears to have a CONSTANTINOPOLIS obverse combined with an VRBS ROMA reverse type. Diameter 14.3mm, thickness 1.4mm, weight 0.97g.

A complete, Medieval ring buckle, cast from copperr alloy, dating c1250-c1450. The buckle as an undecorated, circular frame and a cast pin. The pin is looped around the frame and free to move, there is a notch on one side for the pin to rest on. The buckle has an all round deep green patina with patches of brighter corrosion. Diameter 21mm, Thickness 2.9mm, Weight 2.8g.

An incomplete, modern, glass inset, copper alloy artefact with a long body and forked terminal, Probably an incomplete peice of costume jewellery, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, possibly an art deco pendant flag or swoosh. Due to the forked end to the body I mistook it as a nail cleaner, left on the database just incase somebody makes the same mistake as me. An incomplete, cast, copper alloy spur from c1600-c1700. The artefact consists of the heel band only. The band is plain and badly mishapen due to a crush and both its terminals are missing. The neck has snapped off leaving just its oval stump on the heel band. The heel band tapers down in both thickness and cross sectional width towards its terminals. It is an half oval in cross section with the flat face on the inside. Length 43mm, width 35mm. Weight 13.4g.

A 17th-century post-medieval copper-alloy quarter ounce trade weight, dating from the reign of Charles I or II (1625-1685). The pan weight is formed of a thick disc. On the front there is a raised circumferential rim with an incuse ring at the centre, surrounded by fine circumferential turning marks. There are three stamped marks on the front: a crowned letter 'C' (at 11 o'clock), which is the royal cypher; The dagger of St. Paul (at 1 'clock), for London, the place of its manufacture; a ewer (at 6 o'clock), for the Founders Company of London. A cast copper-alloy fragment from a cooking vessel of post-medieval date. The artefact consists of the foot and a short section of leg above. Immediately above the foot is a ribbed collar. The foot is decorated on the front with three vertical ribs, the central rib being wider than the two flanking ribs to the side. The larger offcut is curled up and one side is cut in an arc, so it is probably waste from a circular shape being cut from the sheet.
