A copper alloy barrel tap with stylised zoomorphic decoration, The tap comprises a curving tube, constricted and tapering at one end and expanding into a stylised animal head with projectiong spout at the other. The tapered end is closed would have been inserted into a barrel. It has a small rectangular aperture on the side to allow the liquid in the barrel to pass into the tube of the tap when turned upwards (with the curving tube and spout pointing downwards). A fragment of copper alloy strap-slide. The outside edge of a rectangular strap-slide, broken at either end. D-shaped in cross section, it has an expanded, rounded central knop with incised cross hatched decoration and tapers towards the break at either end. The rear of the knop is concave. A complete annular buckle. The single loop frame is large and circular with an oval cross section. It is smooth and undecorated. The pin is attached to the frame with a large open hook at one end. The pin tapers to a rounded point at the other end . There is a thin moulded collar on the front of the pin below the hook. Date: Medieval- c. 1300 - 1450 Dimensions: 58.80 mm x 29.86 mm x 13.48 mm Weight: 12.15 g A similar buckle is recorded in Egan & Pritchard 1991, p. 57 - 58, Fig. 36, No. 31, although this example is somewhat smaller and the pin is undecorated.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch. A two-piece type with a double lug at the rear of the head. The wings are open abd slightly tapered to the ends. An incomplete copper alloy strap end with zoomorphic decoration. A Thomas Class B, type 4 tapering strap end with multiple zoomorphic heads. The sides of the strap end taper to the broken terminal. There is a split plate at the attachment end with two circular rivets at the rounded corners. The terminal was a moulded zoomorphic head, but all the remains are the squared ears with drilled indentations.
