A cast cylindrical lead suspension weight with an iron core probably dating from the Post medieval period, about AD 1700 - 1900. The weight has a domed top, straight sides and a concave base. An iron suspension loop (incomplete) projects from the apex. Measurements are; length 67.6mm, diameter 24.4mm and weight 262g. This mass does not obviously fit into any standard systems or mass measurement, so it is more likely that the weight was used to add mass or to weigh something down. It may be a sash window weight.

A cast and possibly wrought lead alloy cup or container. The object is semi-circular, it is difficult to determine if the shape is original or the result of an old break, as the terminal surface is very regular and runs exactly across the diameter. If the shape is original, then the vessel was open on one side, which makes its function difficult to fathom. One possibility is a bird feeder, to sit flush against the wall of the bird box.  The base is slightly concave, the walls bulge to form a circumferential band then taper towards the rim. The outer surface is rough in place…
