An incomplete cast copper-alloy tri-lobate bar mount of probable late medieval date c.1350-1450. Description: The central lobe is domed on the front and cast concave on the reverse. The smaller terminal lobes are drilled for fixing rivets and half of one is missing.. It is decorated on the face of the central dome by moulded transverse grooves. It was probably used as strap / belt decoration or stiffener. A cast one-piece copper alloy (brass/bronze) button with integral drilled shank which is missing. It dates from the 17th century, AD 1600 - 1700. It is discoidal and flat with a concentric recessed circle near the edge, and is stamped with addorsed chevrons roughly dividing the face into quarters. A ring and dot star with 14 points is stamped in the centre and one in each quadrant. The button has a dark green patina. A copper alloy, incomplete post medieval candle snuffer, or more accurately wick trimmer scissors, dating from AD 1550 - 1900. Comprising the flat plate side of the scissors, the box side is missing, and there are traces of gilding and part of an iron pin/rivet at the fulcrum. The scissor handle has been bent out of its original position and has an unusual zoomorphic figure at the end of the finger hole. Late Medieval to early Post Medieval (c. 1450 to c. 1600) purse bar fragment: In section the arm is a cylinder and is broken and worn at both ends. The the arm is decorated with a double-stranded zig-zag. Integral to the lower edge of the central portion of the arm there is sub-rectangular protrusion with sloping terminals and two sub-circular perforations. An incomplete pair of copper alloy nut crackers dating to the post medieval period (c.1600-1800). The nutcrackers consist of two arms, one complete and the other one third complete. Between the arms is a hinge. Both arms have a D-shaped section at the top with raised ridges on the inside to grip the nut. The exterior is decorated with with bands of raised ridges. The complete arm moves to a circular section and tapers gently towards a foot with a wide circular base. This lower portion of the arm is undecorated. A copper-alloy and iron buckle of Post-Medieval date (c.AD1600-1800). The buckle is rectangular in plan with sharply curved corners. The buckle pin is made of iron, which might be a replacement for a copper-alloy pin, and is broken near the aixs bar. The end of the pin is corroded to the bar. The buckle has a mid-green patina all over.

A copper-alloy buckle of Post-Medieval date (c.AD1550-1650). The buckle is half of a broken double loop buckle. There is cinqefoil moulding on the outside of the oop and at each end of the strap bar which is narrowed and slightly recessed. There is iron corrosion products on the strap bar as well as the cinqefoil moulding at the end of the loop, suggesting the buckle had an iron pin. The buckle is broken at the side of the moulding at the ends of the strap bar. See Whitehead 2016: pg.65, no.403 for similar.
