A Medieval enamelled heraldic harness pendant, 33mm in length. The round suspension loop is retained at the top. The blazon has a lion rampant in red enamel surrounded with small quatrefoils or cross crosslets filled with blue(?) enamel. The field of the blazon is raised metal; perhaps originally this was polished or coated to signify a metal (tinned for silver (argent) or gilded for gold (or)). The blazon is thus possibly Argent / or crusilly of crosses crosslet azure a lion rampant gules.

A copper alloy Roman zoomorphic figure possibly dating to c. 43-300 AD. The figure is possibly a hair pin head or the head of a stirring rod. The figure is in the form of a standing animal which is often interpreted as a dog but this example possibly depicts a lion.
