Object type: UNIDENTIFIED OBJECT
Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL

A disc shaped object, probably a coin or token. On one side is a sun with 12 rays eminating from the centre where there is a human face. Above the sun is a crown which is of Post-Medieval c.1600+ with treasured arches. The sun is surrounded by branches and leaves, possibly olive. On the other side is a tree with widely splayed branches. Given the imagery of the sun it is possible that this represents the tree off life and that the object has an overall Christian motif.
