A complete copper alloy Modern apothecary weight dating to c AD1750-1850. The weight is almost square (13.8mm x 14.2mm) with a thickness of 4.6mm , On one face only is stamped a number '2' with the word 'Dram' (in curvilinear script) below. The other face is blank. Fragment of possible lead tracery. The object is cross shaped and has breaks on each arm. Each arm is moulded on both faces with a wide central ridge flanked by narrow ones, creating a lozengiform cross section. At the centre of one face is a raised quatrefoil. In three of the angles is a right angled strip of lead creating and angular aperture. There are remnants of this in the fourth angle.
