A complete asymmetric, cast Copper-alloy Medieval bar mount, dating from circa 1350 AD -1450 AD. The mount is formed of a central plump, sub-oval body from which two sub-rectangular terminal lobes extend. The terminal lobes are drilled and countersunk below to accommodate rivets with the remains in-situ and would have attached the mount to a strap. The terminal lobes are of differing lengths. Late Early Medieval to early Medieval copper alloy swivel strap fitting. It consists of one half of the complete object. It has an oval frame of circular sectioned loop terminating in stylistic zoomorphic heads, either side of a concave cylindrical section for attachment. The animal-head mouldings have a prominent rectangular brow ridge and curving snout. Early Medieval to Medieval copper alloy ringed loop headed pin. The shank is circular in section. It starts with a basic loop holding a ring. From this loop, the shank tapers down to a sharp point. The trapped ring is also undecorated and has a small suspension loop projecting from its outer edge. The trapped ring's diameter is 19mm and the pin shank is 91mm long. They are both undecorated. There is a tab at the top of the plain head. An arris runs down the front of the bow and is interrupted by a knop comprising a disc sandwiched between sets of four petals with a groove above and below. Extant length 32mm. Width of head 12.7mm.
