Twenty five hard and semi-hard hammer struck flakes, all but two are impressivly patinated orange, the other two are off-white with spotty iron stains and scrapes, eight are secondary, the rest are tertiary.
Many are damaged to some degree but a few exhibit areas of steep retouch, this collection can be classed as flakes and simple flake tools.
Palaeolithic, Early to Middle, 600,000 to 40,000 BC.

Silver 'female' tag from a Post Medieval dress hook set. The tag has a sub-oval plate that has been formed into seven long oval feathers that emanate from the forward edge. Three of the feathers (the second fourth and sixth) have been decorated with closely packed angled lines that project out from a central ridge forming a chevron patten, that runs their length. An incomplete copper alloy single-loop buckle dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1250-1350). The buckle is formed of a D-shaped loop, with a thin bar and slightly widened outer edge to the frame. The pin is now missing. The object has a light brown patina and is undecorated.
For a comparable example see Griffiths et al (2007: 87) no. 472.
The overall dimensions are as follows: 16.28mm in length, 8.94mm in width, 2.73mm in thickness and 0.60g in weight.

Copper alloy incomplete Read class A type 2 early Post Medieval blunt-hooked clasp. The body is a collared oval shape with three debased trefoil attachment knops. The narrowed hook is broken just beyond it's point of return. Both sides are undecorated. Similar examples are illustrated in Read, B. Hooked Clasps and Eyes (2008) p170; Nos, 636/7. Circa AD 1500-1650.

A hooked fitting of unknown completeness, potentially from a harness junction loop, likely of Roman date. The hook has a concave inner surface and a convex outer one, with a rounded tip and sides that flare toward the base. The hook is cast integrally with the rest of the object, of which only a fragment remains as a flat plate projecting from the base of the hook. Five hard hammer struck flakes, one is clearly secondary, the rest are tertiary, four are patinated orange to some degree and one has gone red/brown with pale white mottles to the dorsal face.
All have recent damage to the thin edges disrupting the patination, none appear to have been retouched in antiquity.
The smallest is the brown flake, sub trapezoidal in section, the shorter lateral edge has a burin spall removed, though this cuts through the pale dorsal patination and could be later or damage. 45 x 27 x 9.5 mm. 13 g.

Post medieval, copper alloy, white metal plated single loop, sub-rectangular framed buckle.
The frame is curved in an "S" shape with the bar set back and the front of the frame curving upwards. The frame is rounded with the front of the frame flatter and broader with a niche for the pin. Post mediaeval to modern, possible harness buckle, with the pin missing. Length 35mm, width 30mm, weight 13.83g.
