Unusual incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester Derivative brooch. The wings are plano-convex (flat on the reverse) and flat on the ends. They are decorated on the front with eleven deep, very slightly oblique, very nearly transverse grooves, five on one wing and six on the other.
