Two flat copper-alloy plates from the end of the handle of a scale-tang knife, with part of the iron tang in place in between. Each plate flares towards the end, which is slightly outcurved. Each has a grooved border with engraved decoration within; the decoration is slightly different on each plate. A cast copper alloy terminal or head from a staff of later early medieval or Norman date (AD 1000 -1200). The staff terminal is broadly sub-spherical in plan and profile being cast as a single piece. From the base of the lower half of the staff head a cylindrical / tubular socket extends. The head of the staff is decorated with a cast pierced pattern of lattice like openwork ornamented with projecting knop like bosses. Unusually well made cast copper-alloy casket key with projecting stem-tip. The bow is lozenge-shaped externally and circular internally. There is a moulding at the junction of the bow and the stem; the stem is oval in cross-section and is thicker than the bow. At the far end of the stem is a bit with a two horizontal clefts or cuts, one in the top of the front edge and the other in the lower end of the rear edge. Copper-alloy side knob from a late Roman crossbow brooch. It is globular, with a flattened area on the end with a small projecting boss which appears to be incomplete. When viewed from the end the knob is oval in section,10.4 x 9.5mm, and 7.6mm long without the boss. There is a groove at the junction of the knob and the rectangular-section wing, then there is a slight moulding; beyond this is a small stub of surviving wing which measures 5.3 x 3.8mm at the broken end.
