Post Medieval lead alloy object, possibly a mount or a large button or a small bridle boss. It is circular in plan with a raised central boss 18mm in diameter. The domed outer face depicts a crowned bust facing left, possibly William III, with a circumferal border of widely spaced pellets approximately 3mm from the original edge. The inner face is concave and undecorated, with the possible exception of some raised pellets intermittently around the edge. Post Medieval copper alloy object, probably a hand or pointer of some sort, or possibly a catch or latch element. The top loop has an internal diameter 4mm. There are Roman strap ends that look similar in plan but are flat and only a millimetre or so thick. There are also Post Medieval furniture mounts and key hole covers that look similar, and some are almost as thick, but it cannot be one of them as the attachment loop is too wide for a rivet. Roman copper alloy sandal type skeuomorphic plate brooch. The brooch has an outline in the shape of an elongated sandal sole with the pointed heel at the top, a narrowed instep, expanded 'ball' of the foot and a pointed toe. It is sided, probably to represent the right foot. On the outer face the originally flat plate has a raised border around a plain flat centre which once held enamel. The base of a projecting loop or knop remains on the heel. On the reverse are the projecting remains of the pin attachment and the catch plate. A copper alloy domed thimble. Probably Holmes' Type III c 1730 to 1800. These thimbles originated in the Netherlands but were also produced in England between 1730 and 1800(Holmes 1988). The English thimbles of this type were manufactured by Lofting at Great Marlow. He produced thimbles in various sizes and was the first to mass produce for children. An incomplete fragment of a cast copper-alloy book clasp fitting (Howsam type A2) of medieval date (c.1300-1450). Description: The central body is shallow semi-spherical with the reverse being flat. There is a 3.9mm diameter aperture through the centre that would have located on a peg on the book cover when in use. Copper alloy possible Roman cast furniture, vessel or vehicle fitting. The form is that of a circular disc with the the front face contoured from a raised border, dishing inwards towards a central raised conical boss with a flat domed top. The reverse side is flat but rough, with the corroded remains of a square section iron stud in the centre, opposite the boss. The surface is a powdery grey-green colour.
