Post Medieval letter opener or erasing knife in the form of a miniature parrying or fencing dagger. The double edged blade seems to be non ferrous alloy and has broken off at the hilt. At the break it is rectangular in section, while at the point the section is a pointed oval. There are two parallel lines running roughly halfway down the length of the blade from the hilt on either side. Post-medieval or modern copper alloy discoidal 1-ounce avoirdupois trade weight. On the recessed front face there is a central grooved circle and five stamped impressions, a ligatured AB, a crowned T, a crowned W and two identical showing a sword or dagger crossed with a ?straight-stemmed ?flower. An incomplete copper alloy button and loop fastener dating to the early to mid-Roman period (c. AD 50-200). The remains of the fastener are represented by two arms that would have formed a circular hoop. There is a circular void at the beginning of the hoop that would likely have once held enamel decoration. The loop is tear-drop shaped and is set on a stem with a 90 degree angle from the fastener.The object is pitted and worn with a light green patina. Fragment of a Roman copper-alloy finger ring of Henig Type II. Approximately one quarter of the hoop is extant, including approximately one half of the expanded bezel and one tapering shoulder. It is plano-convex in cross-section. There is an incomplete oval recess for a missing setting on the bezel. The breaks are not recent and the the whole fragment has a uniform green patina. Incomplete medieval copper alloy buckle, an oval frame with an offset, narrowed bar and a barrel-shaped moulding in the centre of the rounded outside edge, and a gilt sheet plate, probably rectangular and with a pin slot and frame recesses, that has lost an uncertain amount beyond a transverse row of three rivet holes. Gently curving lines of rocker-arm engraving remain visible in the small area of gilding which survives around one rivet hole. Frame length 21mm, width 33.2mm. Plate width 28mm. 13th - 14th century. A complete copper alloy Post Medieval trade weight from a stacking set dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1800). The weight is circular in plan and rectangular in section, with a raised rim on the upper face. The upper face is stamped with the sword of St Paul and a probable ewer next to and opposite the sword, denoting that the weight was made by the Founders Company in London.
