Lower part of a post-medieval copper alloy thimble which has been quite cleanly cut away from the rest. There is a basal thickening below a plain band. The drastic modification has left part of one row of (?spirally applied) round indentations around part of the circumference. Diameter 18 - 19.5mm. Present height 5.6 - 6.3mm. 17th - 18th century.

A complete, gold, gem-set finger ring dating to the Medieval Period c AD 1100-1300. The ring consists of a plain gold band, oval in cross section with a rectangular hollow bezel. The hoop measures 1.46mm wide, broadening to 2.50mm where it meets the bezel. The bezel is formed from gold sheet. The upper surface of the bezel is plain and gently rises on all four sides to an oval aperture in the centre (8.28mm long by 3.87mm wide), within which is set an oval purple/pink cabochon garnet.
