A complete medieval cast copper alloy single loop folding strap clasp with a separate plate (AD1300-1400) . The clasp has a sub-rectangular frame with rounded terminals and thin linear ribs on the arms as a form of simple decoration. The clasp has a strap plate formed from a single sheet of copper alloy which has been wrapped around one thin end of the clasp buckle and is secured by a single rivet, which would also have secured the strap in place. A complete medieval copper-alloy composite strap end, dating AD 1150-1450. It is composed of two plates and a forked spacer. The strap end is broadly rectangular in shape, measuring 70mm in length and 10.5mm in width and 4.5mm thickness. Weight: 10.54gms. It terminates in a crude, collared acorn type knop. A modern cast gold 'Crown of Thorns' mount. The hoop is cast with a textured surface of cross hatching/wriggle working with  five 'thorns' on each side; the thorns are not opposing but placed alternatively along the hoop when viewed from the side. The thorns are angled at 45°'s and flow in the same direction (like waves), the thorns on the opposing side facing the other direction.
