A stone spindle whorl of probable later Iron Age or Roman date (400 BC - AD 300). The spindle whorl is circular in plan and rectangular in profile. It has been carefully chipped and ground from what seems to be a coarse micaceous sandstone. Through the middle of the whorl is a circular shaped hole set slightly off centre; the hole has straight sides and it has an approximate diameter of 5mm. The whorl is undecorated and is relatively unabraded with crisp fresh edges. One face has a scar of flaw emanating from the centre to one edge. The whorl is a reddish brown colour. Spindle whorls …

A well preserved but incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type of Roman date (AD 80-120). The wings are complete with flat and pierced end caps. The axis bar, spring and pin are all lost.The external cord of the brooch pin would have fixed to a rearward facing hook positioned at the midpoint on the upper edge of the reverse; this is an abraded stump like projection. Silver groat of Elizabeth I dating 1560-1561AD with a cross-crosslet initial mark, indicating it was minted at Thomas Stanley's London mint in the Tower. The coin has been folded in half in antiquity so only the reverse is visible. This has a squared shield on long cross fourchée dividing the legend which reads POSVI DE[U A]DIVTOREM MEV.

An incomplete set of silver cufflinks, dating to the Post-Medieval Period (1600-1700).
Description: The single, surviving button is worn and damaged the rim having ben folded. It is in a rough floral shape in plan, possibly intended to be a rose. The upper face is decorated with a flaming heart pierced by two arrows against a background of small incised dots. The background of the design is textured with a stippled effect of tiny, irregular indentations. The decorated circular field is raised with a bevelled, undecorated rim.

An incomplete lead seal matrix dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1300). The matrix is roughly circular in plan with a flat face and flat reverse. At the centre of the matrix is an incised eight-pointed star set within a circle. The legend is inscribed around the central star in retrograde (anti-clockwise). The inscription reads: + S' ADE BONE with a possible L ligated at the end, translating as 'Seal of Adam Bone' or 'Seal of Adam Bonel'. The name may be Bone or Boon; the L is hard to explain.

An incomplete lead powder measure cap dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1700). The object is sub-oval in shape, having been flattened slightly whilst in the ground. The base of the cap is flat with a small loop positioned on either side, which would have housed a short length of cord to fasten the powder measure to the bandolier. Incomplete copper alloy strap end. The attachment loop is missing, but the rest of the strap end is in good condition. Matches Hoss' type H.1.a, (most similar to figures H.130 and H.177), with a flat body. The body takes the form of an elongated, irregular pentagon, with the sides slightly concave. There is no terminal knop. The strap end is 27.44 mm long by 7.9 mm wide and 3 mm thick. It weighs 3.23 g.
According to Hoss (p.262), strap ends like this were worn on a range of belt fittings and clasps. Examples date between AD 175 and the late 4th century.
