An incomplete utensil set of modern date, cAD1938-1945. The utensil set is know as Goffel. German Army "Spork" (Fork = gable/Spoon = offel) comprising a spoon and a fork joined by a rivet towards the base of the handles. The lower face is stamped with a makers mark of GK & F, which is underlined and with the number 40 stamped below the line. The metal has a dull grey patina and is slightly corroded. A Post Medieval North American incomplete clay pipe dating from AD 1640-1680. This is an Iroquoian-style "tulip bowl" with possibly Algonquian or Siouan style stamped decoration. The pipe is made from a low fired clay with rouletted decoration consisting of a double band below the rim, under which are a series of four triangular ‘sail’ motifs within these are horizontal rouletted lines. A white metal plated copper alloy spur with one of the fitting hooks present. Dating to the post-medieval period, AD 1600-1700, the spur consists of two arms angled outwards like a wishbone rather than the more familiar horseshoe shape, with a half broken rowel slot; the rowel is lost. The arms are D shaped in cross section, each arm ends in a rounded, double looped terminal in a figure of eight shape. A fragment of a cast copper-alloy Roman developed T-shaped brooch dating to c. AD 50 – 150. The surviving brooch consists of the upper section of the wings and the upper section of the bow.
