The object is formed from a finely grained, dark grey stone, with a sub-ovate section and sub-rectangular form, with breaks to both ends. Cut marks are present, and two edges are worn smooth. The object is 82.4mm long, 46.5mm wide, 14.9 mm thick, and weighs 80.1gm. While it is extremely difficult to date whetstones accurately without supporting contextual evidenence, the area in which this object was found displays a high degree of Early- Medieval activity and is therefore likely to date to …

Prehistoric antler from either a large Cervus species, or an Elk (Alces alces). The antler's bud measures 75mm x 62mm, and does not appear large enough to be from an Irish elk (Megaloceros giganteus). The breaks on the antler have occurred post deposition. Dates between 10,000 and 1,900 BC, probably from the earlier Mesololithic as the antler is partially mineralised. Length 378mm, width 331mm, thickness 62mm, and weighs approximately 8000g.

An incomplete copper alloy, post medieval buckle, dating to AD 1620-1680. One loop is missing. The frame is bevelled on the upper side and flat on the reverse. The outer edges of the loops are extended into triangles, and the sides are angled slightly inwards towards a central strap bar. There is a hemispherical knop at each end of the strap bar. A lead spindle whorl of uncertain date, Iron Age to early Post-Medieval. The spindle whorl has an approximately plano-convex shape but has become deformed from its original shape due to damage. This artefact weighs 17.42g and has a height of 10.5mm. The base is roughly flat but has a concave groove running around the middle of the base forming a loop. This might suggest that the object was cast upside down (base up) and there was not quite enough molten lead to fill the mould. Cast, copper-alloy socketed spearhead dating to the Middle to Late Bronze Age, c. 1600-800 BC The spearhead takes the form of a regular cone with opposed flanges forming blades that extend from the pointed tip and mouth of the socket, although now heavily worn. The outer cutting edges of the blades are abraded, showing a green tint against an overall brown patina, on the other side there is heavy damage with a gaping sub-triangular shaped jagged hole. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy rowel spur (c. 1600-c. 1700). This spur comprises a fragment of rowel box and part of the sides. Between the box and sides is a thin neck. The terminal on each of the sides is missing due to breaks. The rowel box is particularly short and each part of the box is ‘D’-shaped in cross-section with a vertical ridge on each outer face.
