An incomplete, copper-alloy and iron knife of Roman date, c. AD 43-250.
Description: The handle is parallel sided and rectangular in cross section, with bevelled edges. It has an openwork pelta-shaped terminal moulding with two prongs projecting into it, the loop is D-Shaped in cross-section. The terminal is preceded by a single raised transverse collar. It terminates in a break, with one projecting element from a probable rectangular box handle. indicating it originally had a body of composite construction, similar to PUBLIC-DBA906.

A cast iron ball, probably round shot, that is a cannon ball, dating from the Post Medieval period, about AD1500-1900. The object, which is pitted and corroded, has a diameter of 104.0mm and a weight of 4080g. This corresponds closely with the dimensions and weight of four inch, 'nine-pounder' (weighing 9lbs) ordnance. Shot of this size were used in the 16th and 17th centuries in a gun known as the Demi Culverin. However, the shot could also date from the later period. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of Medieval date, c.AD 1250 -1500. Meols Type 2. The buckle is a single looped D-shape with a narrowed and recessed bar, and a notched point to the outer edge of the curved side of the frame. A circular wire pin would have been fitted around the bar by an open loop, but is now missing.
The metal has a grey patina and is worn. The buckle is 16.68mm long, 12.96mm wide, 1.44mm thick and weighs 0.6gms.
Similar examples are illustrated in Whitehead p.18 and are dated to circa AD 1250 - 1500.

A copper alloy Roman barbarous radiate dating to c. AD 275-285, possibly a copy of a Tetricus II (AD 272 - AD 274). Unclear mint prototype. Cf. Normanby no. 1977. The coin is stamped on a flawed blank and has a smooth dark green patina.
Obverse: unclear radiate bust right.
Reverse: possible sacrificial implements type with jug.
Dimensions – diameter = 11.12mm, thickness = 1.1mm, weight = 0.6gm.

A copper alloy uniface circular coin weight, probably for a gold Noble c. AD 1400’s. Obverse: King with sword and shield standing in ship with a rose on the hull and a banner with the letter 'E.’ The reverse is plain and undecorated. The weight at 7.2gm, more closely aligns with the 1412-13 issue of the light coinage of that date. Dimensions – Diameter = 18.16mm, Thickness = 4.28mm, Weight = 7.2gm

A cast copper alloy key possibly dating to the post medieval period c. AD 1500 – 1800. The bow is a squat ovoid with typical inward turns at the junction with the shank. The upper section of the shank is formed of a thickened spherical collar which tapers inward then out to form a second broad spherical collar. The shank then tapers in slightly to form the solid pin and ward. The ward appears uncut and there remains a fragment of the casting seam to one side, thus it is a probable blank. A Roman cast copper alloy standing figurine of Mercury c. AD 43 – 410. The figure is nude with an exception for the chlamys fastened on his left shoulder and draped at his back, with its lower edge wrapped around and draped form his left lower arm. He has a possible petasos cap on the head and holds a bag of coins in the right hand. The figurine is missing both feet at the ankle point. The stance is on the right leg with the left knee bent and slightly lifted, forming a gentle ‘S’ bend to the form. The indentation on the right hand may have held a caduceus.
