A complete worn gilt cast copper-alloy harness pendant complete with the hanger attachment of probable medieval date (c.1200-1400). Description: The pendant is 14.0mm round in form with an integral suspension loop at right angles to the display plane. Prehistoric flint scraper. It is formed on a broadly rectangular secondary flake of light brown flint which has cortex remaining over 80% of the dorsal side and a prominent bulb of percussion on the ventral. There is semi abrupt parallel retouch along one side and at the distal end. Probably late Neolithic or Bronze age in date, but could be earlier.

A Post Medieval 17th Century AD copper alloy belt hanger. The strap fitting consists of a triangular (isolcles) plate from the acute corner of which there is a backward-turning hook projecting from the bottom. The top of the plate has an indent in the centre and rounded corners, creating the effect of two lobes. From this the plate narrows down its length, its sides being slightly concave, before thickening at its narrowest point and then bending backwards over 340 degrees into an oval cross section loop. A large broad backed blade like flake of igneous stone - dolerite (grantite). The flake is broadly rectangular in shape and lentoid in cross section. In form the two long edges of the dorsal and ventral faces has been worked / knapped to form a very crude serrated edge. The retouch is crude and applied with a hard hammer. Likewise the flake seems to have been struck from a larger prepared core using a single blow from a hard hammer. One end is broken and patinated suggesting damage in antiquity. Late Early Medieval to Medieval ceramic vessel body sherd. It has an abraded, apparently oxidised, gritty buff fabric that can be scratched with a thumbnail. The fabric has a number of inclusions and occasional voids, both mostly less than 1mm in size but some up to 2mm. There is no evidence of glaze. Probably dates from c1000 to c1400 AD, most likely late 11th to 13th century. The length is 36mm, width 28mm, thickness 5mm, and the weight is 6.69g.

A large highly decorated near complete lid most probably from a cistern of post medieval date 1650-1850. The fragment is broken into four large parts and was originally identified as a potential Roman mortaria fragment. However, more detailed research has idfentified the fabric as a hard fired earthenware which has well sorted small black coal measure grits within the mica rich matrix. An incomplete medieval, cast, copper-alloy, rectangular buckle plate, It is broken at the point of the hinge, which has no pin slot. There remains a round-headed copper-alloy rivet on the reverse, situated on the central axis 4mm from the longer edge. The buckle had a green patina. Complete cast copper alloy post medieval dress hook (1500-1600). The plate is flat and circular in shape with a cruciform design in the centre. There are four perforations in each quadrant, within a raised ring and pelleted border, centrally there is a pellet. The plate is topped with a rectangular loop. At the base of the plate is the hook which is bent and distorted. The reverse of the plate is flat and plain. The object is cast as a single piece and is covered in a green patina. Similar to Read Class E Type 3, see NLM-A74C61 for a comparative example.
