A modern complete silver medal dating to 1896. The medal bears the arms of the Prince of Wales Own West Yorkshire Regiment over a pair of crossed rifles. On the ribbon around the central badge contains the names of the three Yorkshire regiments (1ST BATT YORK / 2ND BATT BRADFORD / 3RD BATT LEEDS) and the regimental depot (14TH REGL DEPOT). At the top of the medal is an integral suspension loop. On the reverse is an inscription which reads DEPOT W.Y.REGT SERGT W.T.LEWIS 1896 above a series of silver hallmarks for Birmingham for 1896. Copper alloy early Saxon girdle hanger fragment. The plano-convex cross-section shank and thickened neck are extant, with the suspension loop and the terminal end missing from old breaks. The shank neck is of Felder type III, decorated with transverse lines and ribs with the main shank having a slight central arris punched with vertical columns of stamped annulets. Circa AD450- 560.

A possible post-Medieval or Modern copper-alloy possible strap-fitting or buckle (c. 1500. c. 1950). The frame is sub-triangular in plan and has one large sub-rectangular loop and a further circular. Each loop is bevelled internally on the upper and lower face. This fitting is reddish brown with patches of a dark green patina. Length: 24.0mm; width: 22.0mm; thickness: 3.0mm. Weight: 4.47g. An Anglo-Scandinavian copper alloy stirrup terminal. It is rectangular in plan and 'C'-shaped in section and is hollow. The convex front is moulded in zoomorphic form representing a bird or beasts head with two 'eyes' represented by elliptical swellings at either side and a downward curving hooked beak or snout at the terminal. There is an old break at the top end and the underside is closed. There is no trace remaining of any gilding, and the terminal has corroded uniformly to a dull greenish brown. An incomplete cast copper alloy furniture mount dating to the Roman period (AD 43 - AD 409). It is bell-shaped in section and circular in plan with the top comprising a circumferential ridge, below which are two narrow concentric ridges descending to a flattened base at the centre of which is a raised and integral central conical boss with a flattened top. A complete cast copper-alloy thimble of probable late medieval to post-medieval date (c. AD 1450-1600). Description: The thimble is 20.9mm high with a domed top and 2.5mm wall thickness. It has circular indentations from it's 20.2mm diameter base that continue in a spiral from the rim to the top of the crown. It weighs 18.3g.
